Through engaging lessons based on famous master games, campers will learn key opening principles, attacking techniques, and middlegame strategies while discovering when giving up material can lead to powerful attacks and long-term advantages. Students will also build confidence in the endgame by learning essential concepts such as opposition, basic king and pawn endgames, and fundamental checkmates with a king and queen or a king and rook. Participants will be grouped by ability so everyone can learn at the right pace.
